Wanda L. Kinsella Obituary (1941 - 2018)

East Peoria: Wanda Lou Kinsella, 77, of East Peoria, passed away Sunday July 1, 2018, 6:32 pm at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held Friday July 6, 2018, 2:00 pm at Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, 201 N. Jefferson St. Washburn. The Rev. Bob Debolt will officiate. Inurnment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Peoria will be held at a later date. A celebration of Wanda's life will be held following the service at the American Legion Hall, in Washington. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Wanda was born March 10, 1941, in Washburn, IL to Oliver and Gladys (Murphy) Zenzen. She married Edward John Kinsella, Sr. on February 4, 1961 at St. Mary's of Lourdes Church, Metamora. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2015. Surviving are her two sons, Eddie (Leanne) Kinsella, of Washington and David Kinsella, of East Peoria, three daughters, Lisa (Terry) Hutson, of Peoria, AZ, Carrie Kinsella and Heather (Anton) Spence, both of Peoria. Wanda has seven grandchildren, Nicholas and Chalon Hutson, , Morgan (Jake) Pyle, Taylor Kinsella,Cristina Kinsella, Skylr Harkness and Sydney Phelps. three great grandchildren, Miley Hutson, Virginia and Jake Pyle. Also surviving are one sister, Shirley Fuchs, of Peoria, and one brother Oliver "Jr" Zenzen, of East Peoria. Her parents, one brother, Jerry Zenzen, and one sister, Phyllis Strauch, preceded her in death. Wanda was a farmer's daughter, helping her parents on the family farm, a homemaker and was a Dairy Queen operator of stores in Peoria and Pekin. She was very devoted to her entire family. To the friends of her children and grandchildren, she was always known as "Mom" or "Grandma". One the great joy's in her life was to bake cookies.
