Wendy L. Norville Obituary (1959 - 2023)

Wendy L. Norville, 63 of Pontiac, IL died Saturday March 4, 2023 at 7:55pm at her residence. Cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held per family's wishes. Memorials in Wendy's name may be made to Pontiac Public Library. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home Pontiac is handling the arrangements. Wendy was born on November 22, 1959 in Pontiac, IL, a daughter of Keith and Charlotte (Boelke) Stoffels. She married Robert Norville on May 24, 1980 in Pontiac, IL. He survives in Pontiac. Also surviving are three children: Rob (Victoria) Norville of Glenwood Springs, CO, Nicki (Ryan) Shelton of Winchester, KY and Jordan (Molly) Norville of Traverse City, Mi; four grandchildren: Isabella, Sofia, Rowan and Emmersyn: two sisters: Shelly (Dwight) Wilson of Leesburg, FL and Lisa (Gary) Brill of Pontiac, IL. Wendy was preceded in death by her father and one brother: Jeff Stoffels. Wendy was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School and received her associates degree in Childhood Development from Parkland College in Champaign, IL. Wendy was employed as a paraprofessional at Pontiac Township High School and Flanagan schools for many years. She was a volunteer at OSF St. James Hospital gift shop and was an avid reader. She also loved to travel, having visited all 48 contiguous United States. Most of all she was a mother, a fierce defender of her family and tireless advocate for their wellbeing. They will all miss her care and her smile.
