Zelma Mitchell Obituary (1931 - 2021)

Zelma Mitchell, 89, of Bloomington, Illinois, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded. Zelma was born September 22, 1931, to Joe T. and Velma McCulley Broyles. She married Ernest Mitchell on May 15, 1954. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her one son, James Mitchell of Florida; two daughters, Sandra Gibson of Bloomington, Illinois, and Lorie Williams of Oklahoma; one brother, Thomas Wayne Broyles of Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Zelma was a loving mother; grandmother; great-grandmother; sister; and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
