Arthur F. 'Art' Klein Obituary (1958 - 2023)

MAGNOLIA- Arthur F. 'Art' Klein, 64, of Magnolia passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Cremation has been accorded and a private memorial will be held at Calvert- Johnson Memorial Home in Henry. A celebration of life will be held at Shandy's in Henry on Saturday, April 1st at 12 noon. Memorials may be given to the Illinois Cancer Center, 8940 N. Woodsage Rd., Peoria, IL 61615. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in Henry is handling arrangements. Art was born on November 19,1958, in Streator, a son to Roger F. Klein and Etheyln Stahler. He married Faith Sullivan in Streator on April 17, 1982. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Ashley ( Brian ) Goralczyk, of Dana; A.J. ( Natasha Slomczewski) Klein, of Lacon, grandchildren, Bodhi Booth; Alaina, Sophia, and Marshall Klein, step-grandchildren, Noah and Aubree Goralczyk, and siblings, Allan Klein; Marsha Ybarra; Mark Klein; and Mike Klein. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Andy Klein; 1 sister, Bridget Klein; and 1 grandchild, Xander Klein. Art retired as a machine operator from Washington Mills in Hennepin. He loved the outdoors, especially trapping, hunting, and fishing. Most of all he loved the time he got to spend with his grandchildren.
