Herman C. "Butch" Kruse, 80 of Danvers passed away at 10:51 PM on Wednesday April 24, 2019 at his residence. \r\n\r\nThere will be a funeral service for Butch on Monday April 29, 2019 at 11:30 AM _ at the Danvers Baptist Church. Pastor Bob Clark will be officiating. Military rites will be accorded at the church by the Bloomington -Normal American Legion Honor. Interment will be at Park Lawn Cemetery in Danvers. There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:30 AM on Monday at the church. \r\n\r\nThe family suggests memorials be made to Illinois CancerCare, Bloomington, IL. \r\n\r\nArrangements are being handled by Otto-Argo-Calvert Funeral Home in Danvers.\r\n\r\nButch was born June 28, 1938 in Melrose Park, IL the son of Verne and Dorothy Heimbroldt Kruse. He married Frances D. Keller on January 21, 1961 in Maywood, IL. She survives.\r\n\r\nAlso surviving are his four children, Brenda Stanley, Murphysboro, TN, Kelly Caudra, Bloomington, Gayle Vincent, Normal, John (Mandy) Kruse, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nButch is preceded in death by his parents, two children, Leigh Ann Kruse, Donald Kruse and one sister Daisy Heston.\r\n\r\nButch owned and operated Danvers Drywall for many years. He later worked at Illinois State University where he was a foreman for the Building Service Workers until her retired. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. Butch was a member of Danvers Baptist Church. He was a loving husband father and grandfather. Butch had many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
