John H. Jack Hammond, 53, of Bloomington, passed away at 3:09 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his home.His funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington with Rev. Jason Damkoehler officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home.Jack was born April 29, 1962 in Normal, the son of Raymond E. and Rita Whalen Hammond, Sr. He married Christine A. Dickson on April 22, 1988 in Bloomington. She survives.He is also survived by his mother, Rita Brenner of Bonita Springs, FL; a daughter, Dawn (Andrew) Getty of Normal; three brothers, Raymond (Nicki) Hammond, Jr of Bonita Springs, FL, Eddie Hammond of Florida and Mark (Joanna) Hammond of Wheeling; two step-children, Teresa (Ron) Smith of Minier and Brett (Ashley) Dickson of El Paso; six grandchildren and 2 on the way.He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jeff Hammond.Jack attended Bloomington High School and served in the United States Marine Corps.
