Louis Larry Norby Obituary (1938

Louis Larry Norby, 85 of Bloomington passed away peacefully Tuesday September 19, 2023, at his home in Bloomington. There will be a funeral for Louis on Thursday September 28, 2023, at 1 PM at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington. There will be a visitation for one hour prior. Pastor Len Thebarge will officiate. Interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery in Bloomington. Louis was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Lewis Norby and Jeanette Winget Robinson. He married Patricia Duncan. Louis and Patricia had three children, Larry Norby, Lori Holt, Lisa (Dave) Goodman, grandchildren, Benjamin Goodman, Alicia (Adam Heinrich) Goodman, and Dustin Norby and a great grandson, Jeremiah Powell. He is also survived by his sister, and Ruth Mattingly. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his sister Bonnie Dewitt, granddaughter, Jaclyn Ware and grandson, Cody Powell and two half sisters, Alice Robertson, and Arlene Peterson. Louis was known to be a very hard worker and worked for McLean County asphalt and went on to be a concrete finisher foreman at Rowe construction. Louis loved his family and took pride in the home that he and Patricia built with the help of their son Larry. Louis loved spending time with his family and especially loved going to Wisconsin on fishing trips with his family. He loved talking on the phone to his special sister, Ruthie, about old times. He will be deeply missed by his family. Memorial contributions may be made to the McLean County Humane Society.
