Marceline M. Herb Obituary (1929

Marceline M. Herb of Dwight, IL formerly of Campus, IL passed away at 2:55 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Heritage Health in Dwight, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elmwood, IL. Memorials in Marceline's name may be made to the Uplifted Care of Bourbonnais, IL. Hager Memorial Home, Dwight, IL is handling the arrangements. Marceline was born on May 1, 1929 in Cabery, IL a daughter of Albert and Marie (Stickle) Roggenburg. She married Carl Herb on September 30, 1950 in Cabery, IL. He passed away April 3, 2020. Surviving is one brother-in-law: Bob (Darlene) Herb of Lemont, IL; one sister in law: Shirley Roggenburg of Cabery, nephews, Rob (Susie) Roggenburg of Reddick,IL, Rick (Faith) Roggenburg of Kankakee, Rob (Carrie) Herb of Hawaii, niece, Melonie (Tony) Terazas of Lemont, IL. Marceline was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bob Roggenburg and one sister-in-law: Betty Herb. Marceline loved to travel and was a meticulous planner of family vacations. She traveled all over the United States and the World often taking her mother and high school friends with her. She was a talented artist and made personalized holiday cards. She worked program analysis for the federal government from 1952 to 1985. She graduated from Reddick High School in 1947. She was a member of the Cabery, IL United Methodist Church.
