Richard Austin "Rick" King, 69, of Maroa, IL passed away 10:49 PM, August 8, 2018 at his family residence. Services will be 10 AM, Monday, August 13, 2018 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Larry Larson and Rev. Joe Chetta officiating. Burial will follow at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. Visitation will be 3 - 5 PM, Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 5 PM. The family requests casual attire. Memorials may be directed to the Rick King Memorial Fund. Rick was born December 22, 1948 in Decatur, IL the son of Wilbur W. and Margaret (Beasley) King. Survivors include his mother: Margaret King, Maroa, IL; daughter: Angela J. Koonce, Clinton, IL; 2 grandchildren: Dalton Wright and Tanner Koonce; 1 great granddaughter, Addalyn Wright, all of Clinton, IL; brother: Michael R. (Charla) King, Knoxville, TN; 2 nieces: Kim King and Kristen Pachis; and great-niece, Mackenna. Also surviving is his extended family: Rob Fogarty, April Underwood, Jennifer Polley, Kristi Littrell, 5 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. He was preceded in death by his father. Rick served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Maroa Masonic Lodge. He was an avid auto racing fan and participant. Rick was a wonderful father and grandfather.
