Ruth V. Conatser

Ruth V. Conatser 92 of DeLand, IL passed away 5:45 PM August 27, 2019 at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello, IL.

Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Calvert Funeral Home, DeLand, IL with Pastor Danny Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at DeLand Cemetery, DeLand, IL. Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #102, DeLand, IL.

Ruth was born February 20, 1927 in Bridgeport, Connecticut the daughter of John M. and Doris (Brouso) Eheman. She married John S. Conatser March 11, 1947 in Rossville, Georgia. He passed away December 24, 1983.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Jones, Urbana, IL; Wayne (Linda) Conatser, Monticello, IL; Marty (Sharon) Conatser, Champaign, IL, 11 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, James Conatser and Richard K. Smith; 2 brother and 2 sisters.

Ruth was very active in the Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary.
